BLDN is a reading site. We collect a small amount of anonymous information to understand which resources are useful, and nothing else.

What we collect

• A random session id generated in your browser and kept in sessionStorage. It disappears when you close the tab, and it isn't linked to you or reused across visits.
• The page you're on and its title, plus the first page you landed on in this session.
• The domain of the site that sent you here — google.com, reddit.com — never the full referring URL.
• Campaign tags if a link you clicked carried them: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content.
• A coarse browser family (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and a rough device class — mobile, tablet or desktop.
• Simple actions: page view, resource clicked, resource saved or unsaved, hero call-to-action clicked, guide shared, newsletter form submitted, filter used, search used.
• Whether you answered “Did this help?”, and any comment you choose to send.

BLDN may display aggregated anonymous activity counts, such as how many visitors the site has had today; no individual visitor data is exposed.

What we don't collect

• No full referrer URLs — only the domain.
• No IP addresses stored, and no precise or inferred location.
• No fingerprinting, cross-site tracking, ad pixels or third-party trackers of any kind.
• No accounts. The newsletter form records only that a signup happened, never an address alongside it.
• No sale or sharing of data with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

Feedback

If the “Did this help?” prompt appears, answering or dismissing it stores a timestamp in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again for at least fourteen days. Comments are free text — please don't include personal details in them.

Resources link out to publishers such as GQ, Men's Health, the American Academy of Dermatology, YouTube and Spotify. Once you're on their site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
